Carmel was born in The Netherlands and raised in Israel. In 2014 she graduated with honors from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem.

In her drawings and films she likes to focus on the little moments that turn a general subject into a personal story.

These days Carmel lives in Amsterdam and works as a freelance illustrator and animator .
